Hard to put into words how fabulous the house is and how amazing our stay in La Jolla was. This is a much loved family home and you can tell by the quality of the facilities inside and out, and we felt privileged to be able to base ourselves here for a week. The house is super well provisioned from the kitchen larder, bathroom facilities, outdoor spaces and even down to being able to use the family bikes and beach equipment - we’ve stayed in a lot of Mediterranean villas over the years but none as well presented and provisioned as this. The owners are super friendly and helpful too which helped us to settle in and get our bearings on the local area and things to do. The house is in a great location too. Only a short walk to Windansea Beach and some local shops even closer including a gourmet mini supermarket...A feature of the house definitely worth highlighting are the outdoor spaces. While it's in a built up residential area, the use of outdoor space is really great. Be it sitting out on the front area on the swing chair chatting in the evening, cooking on the bbq in the back area next to the hammock or (a personal favourite) having a coffee in the morning or a beer in the evening on the roof terrance looking out to sea, there really is so much to enjoy. So all in all we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend staying here. We will if we come back to La Jolla!

Ali is an incredibly thoughtful and attentive host. She anticipated all of our needs after our initial conversation and even checked to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied once we arrived. The fresh flowers and welcome wine were totally bonus and above and beyond. The house is impeccable, making our stay so enjoyable. We especially loved the charming outdoor gathering spaces, including the gas fire pits on the deck and front yard, all the soothing decor, the crisp, clean linens and high-end touches throughout. The central location made walking to the beach and the village a breeze, and her local's guide to La Jolla was awesome, saving us a lot of time. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a lovely stay!
This house far exceeded our expectations! My husband and our three kids loved how close we were to the beach and the walkability to restaurants and stores in Village and Windansea area. The house is very clean, bright and beautifully decorated. The gorgeous ocean view deck and lower level fire pit were well-used during our stay. Our kids loved the loft and backyard hammock. The hosts provided excellent communication and we will be back for sure!
